New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026:

Aug. 31, 10:27 a.m., Kyla Mackenzie Calhoun, 33, Martinsville, was arrested on a warrant for domestic battery, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, public intoxication, and disorderly conduct. No bond was allowed. 

Aug. 31, 11:52 p.m., Joshua Lee Weaver Thompson, 35, Linton, was arrested on a preliminary charge of driving while suspended with a prior suspension within 10 years.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
