Midland man arrested on warrant
/A Midland man, out on bond for charges of residential entry, strangulation, and domestic battery, was arrested on a warrant on Aug. 6 after an incident in which he allegedly forced his way into a female’s car and grabbed her around the neck.
Jasonville Police Department Officer Skylar Scott arrested Dominick Vincent Forgione, 39, on a warrant for criminal confinement, intimidation, domestic battery, and invasion of privacy. The warrant was issued on Aug. 5, the same day Scott responded to a domestic disturbance in Jasonville.
Officer Scott spoke with a female who alleged that while she was traveling south on Meridian Street, she saw Forgione mowing a property located at the northwest corner of Meridian and Doney Streets. According to the probable cause affidavit, when Forgione saw the female, he stepped out in front of her vehicle. The female told Scott she stopped the vehicle, which had both front windows rolled down. Forgione, she told the officer, told her she needed to come home when she asked what he was doing. She informed Officer Scott she has an active protective order against Forgione.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the female said Forgione reached for the keys in the ignition. She said she attempted to prevent him from taking the keys but was unsuccessful as he grabbed her arm and took them. She alleged she was unable to roll the window up in time and Forgione was able to reach inside and unlock the door. Forgione unbuckled her seat belt, shoved her into the passenger seat, started the vehicle up, and drove into an alleyway.
She alleged he stopped the vehicle in an alleyway and began screaming at her about a previous domestic abuse incident. Forgione grabbed her around the neck and began shaking her while screaming. She alleged he told her she needed to come back to his residence that evening or he would break all of her teeth and drag her back. She allegedly told him she would return if he would let her go, which he did. She did not return to the residence, she called Greene County Dispatch.
Officer Scott and deputies from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department went to Forgione’s residence, where a vehicle registered to him was parked. Scott wrote in the probable cause that he knocked on the door several times, announcing his presence but Forgione did not answer the door.
He was held without bond. On Aug. 11, he appeared in Greene Superior Court for an initial hearing.
