Local EMT recognized by state during EMS Week

A local emergency medical technician has been honored by the State of Indiana during EMS Week, observed May 18–24, for his outstanding contributions to emergency services.

Brayden Webster, an advanced EMT with the Greene County Ambulance Service, was nominated for the recognition by colleague Cayden Walker.

“Brayden Webster has the intention of becoming an emergency medicine physician and is currently applying to medical schools,” Walker wrote in the nomination. “In the last year, he has obtained his EMT-A and continues to learn every day. Brayden has been in public service since he was in college. He has worked for AMR in Evansville and Posey County.”

Walker added that Webster “does not hesitate to perform any intervention within his scope of practice,” and is known for staying calm under pressure, taking control of scenes, and consistently seeking to improve his clinical skills.

“He deserves this recognition because of his drive to better himself as a provider,” Walker wrote. “Any company in the state would benefit from having a Brayden.”

In addition to his work as an EMT, Webster also serves as a reserve deputy marshal with the Worthington Police Department.
