Election 2022: Candidate filing window opens with two candidates for Greene County Sheriff filing on the first day

Today was the first day a candidate could file to run for office in the upcoming primary election and five individuals visited the Voter Registration Office today to turn in their paperwork including two candidates for Greene County Sheriff – George Dallaire and Bryan Woodall.

Ready or not, it’s an election year around here and today was the first day a candidate could file their official declaration of candidacy in the Voter Registration Office.

This year the General Election Day will be Tuesday, November 8, 2022, but the Primary Election Day will be Tuesday, May 3, to determine who will be on the ballot in November. And today, Wednesday, January 5, was the first day an individual could file to run in the primary.
