Bloomfield man accused of posting nude photos without permission

A Bloomfield man is accused of posting a woman’s nude photos in a Facebook group without her permission.

A summons to appear in court has been issued to Danny Egan, 48, Bloomfield, as a result of an investigation by Det. Shawn Cullison of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department into nude photographs posted in a Facebook group.

There were approximately 25 people in the group when Egan allegedly kicked a woman out of the group before posting pictures of her the next day.

Det. Cullison, who viewed the photo posts and comments made by other members of the group, reported the photographs showed a woman in the nude or in a see-through garment.

When Det. Cullison talked to the woman in the photos, she said Egan somehow got access to her Goggle account and got hold of her private pictures, and she had sent some to him but had asked him to delete the photos. She said she did not give him permission to share the photos.

When Det. Cullison talked to Egan, he allegedly said it was a private group and it was his business. He accused the woman of posting photos of him as well. The detective said that would also be a crime but the fact that it was a private Facebook group did not matter.

Egan is currently scheduled to appear in Greene Superior Court on September 3 for an initial hearing on a preliminary charge of distribution of an intimate image, a Class A misdemeanor.
