Sheriff's Department responds to single-vehicle fatality

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded Tuesday afternoon to the scene of a single vehicle fatality on County Road 1500 West near County Road 700 West in Greene County. 

According to a news release from the sheriff’s department, first responders arrived at the scene to find the driver, Wesley Sapp, deceased. Through the investigation, officers determined Sapp suffered a medical episode as he was driving, which resulted in his death. 

Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Caleb Sipes is investigating the accident. He was assisted by Greene County Ambulance Service, Worthington Police Department, Jasonville Police Department, Wright Township Fire Department, and Greene County Coroner’s Office.
