Semi crash on Lone Tree Road closes roadway for several hours

No injuries were reported after a semi-truck crashed on Lone Tree Road and rolled onto its side around 4:18 AM on Thursday, April 27.

Deputy Kelly Hutchens of the Greene County Sheriff's Department, the investigating officer, said GCSD got a call around 4:18 AM about a semi-truck going off the roadway on CR North 1000 West in the area of CR West 500 North.

Allen Raven was the driver who said a tire dropped off the edge of the roadway causing the semi-truck to leave the roadway. It then hit a utility pole, a guardrail, and traffic signs before coming to rest on its side. The driver was not reported to have been injured.

Deputy Hutchens reported the roadway was closed down around 6:35 AM and around 11:00 AM, it was still closed while repairs were being made to guardrails and roadway signs.

In addition to the Greene County Sheriff's Department, personnel responded to assist on the scene from the Jasonville Police Department, the Linton Police Department, the Greene County Ambulance Service and the Wright Township Fire Department.
