Jaime Dawn Robinson, 37, Bloomfield, was arrested by Det. Shawn Cullison of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department last Friday, May 21.

Robinson now has four criminal cases pending against her in Greene County and in two of those cases, warrants had been issued for her arrest.

One warrant was issued because she failed to appear at an initial hearing on a charge of criminal conversion, a Class A misdemeanor. The charge was filed in early May following an investigation by Deputy Marshal Wayman JR Blazier of the Bloomfield Police Department. In mid-April, a woman reported her white 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe as stolen. She said she believed Robinson was in possession of the truck and she had asked for it to be returned but Robinson refused. There was some disagreement over whether the vehicle belonged to the woman or to her ex-husband but it was determined it had been awarded to the woman during a divorce. Det. Cullison advised the vehicle had been seen the day before at Robinson’s residence. When Robinson was located with the vehicle, the vehicle was returned to the owner and the conversion charge was filed against Robinson. A summons was issued to Robinson but she was a no-show at the initial hearing.

The other warrant was issued because she failed to appear at an initial hearing in a case involving auto theft, a Level 6 felony. This charge was also filed in early May following an investigation by GCSD Deputy Zachary Goad. Around 6:30 in the morning on May 1, Deputy Goad was dispatched to check on a suspicious vehicle that had been sitting in the parking lot at the Greene County Jail for over an hour with the headlights on. The vehicle turned out to be stolen from the Greencastle area. Robinson was sitting in the driver’s seat with no passenger on board. She said she didn’t know how she ended up at the sheriff’s department. She allegedly said the vehicle belonged to her friend but she couldn’t remember her friend’s name or where they lived. She also couldn’t remember any details about how she got the car. She allegedly said she couldn’t remember because she had brain damage. Robinson was detained, walked over to the jail and booked in. She posted bond and was released but then didn’t show up for her initial hearing.

In another pending case, she is charged with criminal trespassing, a Class A misdemeanor, following an investigation by GCSD Deputy Jordan Allor. Robinson had been advised not to trespass on a property on South Walnut Grove Road in the rural Bloomfield area, but on April 24, she was reported to be sitting outside an office building on the back of a property, smoking a cigarette, around 3:30 a.m. – this was recorded on a video surveillance system. Later the same day, around 3 in the afternoon, the property owner reported Robinson was sitting on his front porch.

In another pending case against Robinson, she was accused of breaking into a cabin on South Walnut Grove Road in February and knocking holes in the walls because she thought someone was inside the walls. She was charged with possession of methamphetamine and syringe, possession of marijuana, criminal mischief and residential entry.
