Brayden Matthew Allen, 21, was arrested by Officer Debbie McDonald of the Linton Police Department on Monday, April 19. Although jail records show Allen with a home address in Montgomery, Ind., court records show his home address is in Linton.

This past Monday, around 8 p.m., Officer McDonald was dispatched to an apartment in Linton where two family members were in an argument. When she arrived, she talked to a woman who resided in the apartment and said Brayden Allen was sitting down the alley waiting on police.

Officer McDonald reported the woman said an argument started after Allen woke up from a nap but he went to another family member’s nearby apartment to get something to eat. The woman had locked the door but Allen came back, knocked then kicked the door. She said Allen was yelling at her and the nearby family member came over and got in between the two.

Both the woman and the other family member told Officer McDonald that Allen pulled a pocketknife, had the blade open and was making stabbing motions toward the woman, saying he was going to kill the woman.

Officer McDonald located Allen down the alley. Allen said he did have a pocketknife but denied that he had threatened the woman with it. Allen allegedly said both the woman and the other family member were lying.

Allen was booked in at 9:13 p.m. to the Greene County Jail where his bond was set at $10,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed.

Allen appeared in Greene Superior Court for an initial hearing yesterday morning, Wednesday, April 21, via two-way video conference between the jail and the courtroom.

Allen has been charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon, a Level 5 felony.

As of late Thursday, April 22, Allen had not yet posted bond and was still in jail.
