Deputies executing a search warrant in Worthington didn’t find what they were looking for, but reported finding illegal substances.
Robert Nicholas Isenogle
Robert “Robbie” Nicholas Isenogle, 38, Worthington, was arrested by Deputy Michael Coy of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department late Monday, May 11, on a warrant that was issued on April 21 following an investigation by Deputy Coy that began back on March 19.
Deputy Coy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 900 North, Linton, where the resident claimed Isenogle had taken some items from the home when he was performing work for the resident. Interviews, phone calls and negotiations began between the residents, Isenogle and a woman who had been with him while he was at work at the residence. Isenogle believed the woman had taken the missing items, estimated to be worth $220. During the negotiations, Isenogle told the deputy he had apologized to the resident and volunteered to complete remaining work for free as well as repay for the items.
The woman suspected of taking the items returned a couple to Isenogle, but not all. When Deputy Coy visited Isenogle at his home, he recovered the two items but requested a search warrant to look for the rest of the items.
When the warrant was executed at Isenogle’s residence in Worthington on March 23, no other items from the alleged theft were found, but Deputy Coy reported they found a green plant substance and a prescription bottle with two kinds of pills, both inside the dryer drum. A pen shaft with a white residue that field-tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine was found in a vanity in the garage.
A different woman who was at Isenogle’s house when the warrant was executed allegedly told a deputy that she had put some marijuana and pills in the dryer.
A criminal case was filed against Isenogle and a warrant issued for his arrest.
During his initial hearing in Greene Superior Court this morning, Tuesday, May 12, he was formally charged with:
Possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony,
Theft, a Class A misdemeanor, and
Possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.
Isenogle’s bond was set at $5,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He posted bond and has been released from jail.
