Now a flock in Martin County is affected by highly pathogenic H5 Avian Influenza Virus

On December 12, a commercial turkey flock in Martin County was determined to be at high risk of HPAI exposure. To reduce the risk of disease spread, Martin1 was depopulated and has been quarantined. The Martin1 production site is associated with the Daviess1 flock that tested positive for the disease on December 11.

Tuesday pursuit involving several agencies ends with arrest of auto theft suspect

The suspect in multiple investigations of auto theft was arrested and booked into the Greene County Jail Tuesday evening after a pursuit that started around 5 p.m. in Greene County and traveled several highways and county roads in Greene, Martin and Daviess counties, involving law enforcement personnel from at least seven different departments. Late Tuesday night, lead investigators Sgt. Jordan Allor of the Greene County Sheriff's Department and Lt. Marvin Holt of the Bloomfield Police Department released the following information about the incident:
