Shon Eric Michael, 43, Solsberry, and Gloria Gayle McCammon, 30, Bloomfield, were arrested by Deputy Sgt. Jordan Allor of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Monday, October 4.

Michael was the driver of a silver 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan that was stopped this past Monday around 6:30 p.m. after coming out of the Lawrence Hollow area. GCSD Sgt. Allor and Deputy Logan Milligan were in the area and Sgt. Allor thought the driver looked like a man who was wanted on a warrant. When he ran a check on the license plate, he got information that Michael owned the vehicle, and though not the man the deputy first thought it might be, Michael was also wanted on a warrant.

During the traffic stop at State Roads 445 and 45, Michael said he knew he had a warrant out and he was trying to finish the work week before turning himself in. Michael was cooperative and allegedly admitted he had a smoking pipe with marijuana in a pocket inside the van.

Michael was taken into custody then his girlfriend, Gloria McCammon, was asked to exit the van. When asked if there was anything illegal in the truck that belonged to her, she said no, but due to Michael saying he had marijuana in the van, the deputies had probable cause to search the van and they found numerous illegal items.

McCammon allegedly admitted later that she might have a syringe in her belongings and when asked if she used syringes to ingest meth, she allegedly said she usually uses heroin.

In addition to the pipe, Sgt. Allor reported finding numerous syringes, one of which was “loaded” with a brownish red liquid that later tested as methamphetamine, a zip bag with white powder residue, a metal container containing powder residue that tested positive as heroin, a paper folded up containing an unidentified white powder substance, and a cellophane wrapper containing a white crystal substance. Several items were being sent to an ISP Lab for analysis.

Michael was booked into the Greene County Jail at 7:40 p.m. McCammon was booked in at 8:20 p.m. Both were being held without bond pending court appearance. As of late Thursday afternoon, they were both still in custody.

Michael is facing charges of:

  • Possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony, and

  • Unlawful possession of syringe, a Level 6 felony.

McCammon is facing charges of:

  • Possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony,

  • Unlawful possession of syringe, a Level 6 felony, and

  • Possession of cocaine or heroin, a Level 6 felony.

Regarding the warrant out for Michael’s arrest, he was convicted of domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor, last May and was sentenced to 180 days in the county jail with 170 days suspended. After he got good time credit for five days served in jail, he was off with time served and put on probation. In late September, the probation department alleged he had violated a term of probation and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
