Zackary Lee Wraley, 26, Bloomfield, was arrested by Deputy Marshal Wayman JR Blazier of the Bloomfield Police Department on Friday night, May 15. Wraley’s bond was set at $1,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He posted $100 and was released on May 17.

A criminal case was filed against Wraley last week and he was scheduled to appear in court for an initial hearing today, Thursday, June 4.

Wraley is charged with battery resulting in bodily injury, a Class A misdemeanor.

BPD Deputy Marshal Blazier and Deputy Marshal Brittany Ingram were dispatched to a residence on C Street in Bloomfield where Wraley was reported to have been in an altercation with a woman over a bank card. Wraley is accused of hitting the woman in the face then leaving the residence. Officers located Wraley walking on South Seminary Street.

According to Officer Blazier, the investigating officer, Wraley said the woman had grabbed him first and pushed him. He claimed it was self-defense when he “popped her.” But the woman had a large golf ball size knot on a cheekbone and she went to the hospital for treatment where she learned she also had a sprained neck.

Wraley was booked into jail at 9:58 p.m.
