Eastern Heights Utilities will begin hydrant flushing in the towns of Bloomfield and Worthington on April 15th. Hydrant flushing in the rural areas will be done in the following weeks. Customers may experience low water pressure or discolored water during this time.
The Linton Water Department will begin flushing hydrants on Sunday, April 14. According to Ross Gentry from the City of Linton Gas and Water Department, the flushing is expected to take four nights for completion. The flushing will begin each night at 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning. All flushing activities should be completed at 6 a.m. on Thursday, April 18. Due to the process, city officials are recommending the washing of clothes be kept to a minimum during flushing periods as discolored water has been known to cause stains on white and light-colored clothes. The Greene County Sheriff's Office is requesting assistance in locating Charles Orr, who is considered to be armed and dangerous, after he escaped from the Greene County Community Correction facility April 5. According to a press release from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, Orr is approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds.He has blonde hair and green eyes. Orr has several tattoos, including skulls on his left and right legs, skulls and flames on his left and right arms, and two lightning bolts on his neck. Orr is considered to be armed and dangerous. If located, do not approach and contact the Greene County Sheriff's Department or call 911. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Michael Stanley is investigating the incident.
