Man serving home detention accused of meth possession
/A Linton man who was serving home detention was arrested during a home visit after he failed a urine screening and was found in possession of methamphetamine.
James Adam Krolik, 25, Linton, was arrested by Linton Police Chief Paul Clark on Monday, April 27. Krolik was booked in to the Greene County Jail around 5 p.m.
Krolik was currently serving on home detention when police received information and evidence that Krolik was in possession of and using methamphetamine. On Monday, Community Corrections Officer Andrew Johnson and Chief Clark visited Krolik at his residence in Linton.
Krolik didn’t answer the door but the officers confirmed he was there through his GPS monitoring equipment. They entered and Krolik eventually responded.
Krolik was cooperative and allegedly admitted he was using meth.
Chief Clark reported Krolik was in possession of methamphetamine found in various vials and baggies. Clark also reported the results of a urine screening test showed Krolik was positive for the presence of methamphetamine in his system.
Krolik was being held without bond pending his appearance in court. He is facing a preliminary charge of possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony.
