Donald Curtis Weber, 62, Bloomfield, was arrested by Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy David Elmore late on Tuesday, March 12.

Deputy Elmore began an investigation last Friday, March 8, into an incident that allegedly occurred earlier that day at a residence where Weber was staying.

Elmore was dispatched to the residence on East Weber Lane after a man called 911 and said his brother, Donald Weber, was tearing up property, had a knife, a bat and possibly a gun. The man said Weber had just been recently released from the Monroe County Jail.

When Elmore arrived, along with Deputy Terry Wade, he talked to the man who said his brother had been staying with him but got upset when asked to do some housework.

Weber is accused of knocking both side mirrors off the man’s truck with a baseball bat, threatening him with the baseball bat and threatening him with a knife. Weber allegedly started swinging the baseball bat in the living room of the residence, tearing things up.

When Deputy Elmore returned to the residence on Monday, March 11, he was able to speak to Weber and ask him what happened between him and his brother. Weber allegedly said nothing had happened and “We’re good.” Weber allegedly also told his brother to tell the deputy there was no problem.

After information from the investigation was submitted to the prosecutor’s office, a criminal case was filed against Weber on Tuesday, March 12, a warrant for Weber’s arrest was issued the same day, and Weber was taken into custody late that same night.

Weber’s bond was set at $10,500 surety with ten percent cash allowed.

When he appears in court for an initial hearing, he will be formally charged with intimidation where defendant draws or uses a deadly weapon, a Level 5 felony, and criminal mischief, a Class B misdemeanor.
