Ruby Frances Powell

Ruby Frances Powell, 84, of Waddy, Kentucky formerly of Bloomfield, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort, Kentucky. Born December 8, 1938 in Sand Gap, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Frank and Genevieve (Isaics) Durham.

Ruby worked for Bloomfield Manufacturing for many years. She loved to sing and enjoyed yard sales.

Surviving relatives include: her husband, George Powell; children, Diane Updike, Luther King and Robert Dale King, Sr.; one sister, Dades Abney; seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Dale King, Jr., her siblings and her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, April 3, 2023 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Interment will follow in Prairie Chapel Cemetery.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm on Sunday and 1 hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
