Mary Louise (Orman) Keller

Mary Louise (Orman) Keller, 81, of Jasonville, IN passed from this earth into the loving arms of her Savior 4:38 P.M. Monday, July 29, 2024 in her home surrounded by family as she prepared for her transition into Heaven.

Her husband Donald was waiting to take her hand to escort her thru this final journey. She showed her sparkle one last time as she paused to say, “See ya later”. The light is gone from your eyes but shines forever in our hearts. Death is not extinguishing the light, but merely putting out the lamp because the dawn is upon us.

Mary was born October 16, 1942 in Owen County, IN to Charles Orman and Dorothy (Harrington) Hines.

Mary married Donald E. Keller on March 26, 1971, he passed away on July 16, 2023.

Together they had 10 children, Donovan Keller (Regina) of Lyons, IN, Duane Keller (Theresa) of Jasonville, IN, Suetta Rush (Ed) of Jasonville, IN, Jeff Keller (Amy) of Tatum, TX, Jerry Keller (Jeanette) of Jasonville, IN, Paula Bedwell (Rich) of Jasonville, IN, Angela Dean of Brazil, IN, Nancy Jackson (Randy) of Worthington, IN, Lise Strickland (Dwayne) of Farmersburg, IN; grandchildren – 31; great-grandchildren – 84; great-great-gradnchildren – 15; sisters, Barbara Boland of Montgomery, TX, Dianna Thomas (Maynard) of Elkhart, IN; sisters in-law, Connie Bland of Princeton, IN, Marge Keller of LaPorte, IN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Keller; parents, Robert and Dorothy Hines and Charles Orman; as well as her mother and father in-law, Jewell Keller (Anna); daughters, Norene Abrell, Joanna O’Neal (Robert); siblings, Charles L. Orman, Tammy Sparger; brother and sister in-laws, Darrell Keller (Nancy), Billy Keller, Phillip Keller (Pam), Helen Gardner (Jim), Judy Castetter, Terry Bland, Larry Keller; grandchildren – 4.

Mary was a homemaker, not only was she a caregiver to the 10 children marriage blessed her with, but she also cared for many other children. She volunteered at Head Start, loved to sew, and was well known for her noodles and yeast rolls. After her kids were grown, she worked at Shakamak IGA. Dice was her game of choice. She would spend hours playing dice with her sister in-law Pam.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 A.M to 1 P.M. Friday, August 2, 2024 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 1 P.M. with Pastor Tracy Hamilton officiating.

Interment will be at Peavey Cemetery in Jasonville, IN.
