Lola Evelyn Singleton
/Lola Evelyn Singleton, 86, of Linton, passed away with family at her bedside, on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Glenburn Nursing Home. She was born on August 16, 1934 in Howesville, Indiana to Warren ‘Peppy’ and Hazel (Keller) Miller. Evelyn married Billy G. Singleton on October 30, 1954.
Evelyn attended the Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed archery competition, bowling, hunting and especially loved taking care of her home and family.
Family left to cherish the memory of Evelyn includes: her husband, Billy Singleton; daughters, Debra (Don) Litten, Melanie (Greg) Cravens and Rea (Art) Love, all of Linton; grandchildren, Heather Evans, Dawn Clayton, Steven Bays, Marc Summerville, Erica (Jared) Ruehrschneck, Amy (Kenny) Fulford, Andrea (Megan) Halstead, Rachel Lewis, Danielle (Andrew) Bredeweg and Makayla Love; nineteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandsons and sister, Carolyn Liston of Terre Haute.
Evelyn was preceded in death by: her parents; sister, Patsy Moore; brothers, Clarence, Bob, Vernon, Forest and Norman Miller.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Rev. Dick Smith officiating. Evelyn will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, July 19, 2021 and from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
