Randy Joe Carmichael, age 70, of Kyle, Texas, passed away Friday, July 9, 2021, at his residence. He was born in Linton on October 14,1950, the son of Burl and Rowena (May) Carmichael.

Randy was a 1968 graduate of L & M High School and then a 1972 graduate from Indiana State University with a bachelors degree in Automotive Technology. Randy spent his life in the Automotive Industry and was still working as manager for Act Fast Delivery in Austin-Waco area. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Buda, TX. Spending time with his granddaughters and watching NASCAR were his favorite pastimes.

He is survived by his wife, whom he married June 27,1970, Beckey (Mathena) Carmichael, son, Gabe Carmichael of Kyle, TX, twin granddaughters, Peyton & Paige Carmichael of Buda, TX, and brother, Jerry Carmichael of Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Janice Gastineau.

Visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Friday, July 23, 2021, from 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M.

A graveside services will be held at 12 noon at Carmichael Cemetery in Eastern Greene County on Friday, July 23, 2021 with Brian Patterson officiating.
