John Edward Wiley, age 70, of Bloomfield, passed away at 1:20 am on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Bloomington, Indiana on April 6, 1952, the son of Clifford & Ethel (McGlocklin) Wiley.

He worked as a countertop installer and builder for Chip’s Countertop in Bloomington for several years. He enjoyed flying drones, using his CB radio, riding his motorcycles and fishing.

John is survived by his loving companion of 22 years, Darla Mitchell of Bloomfield; sons, Chuck (Amber) Wiley, Johnny Wiley, Steven (Nancy) Wiley, Jeremy Wiley and Justin Wiley; step-sons, Joshua Tinsley, Dustin Tinsley, Brandon (Crystal) Tinsley, Eric (Amanda) Tinsley and Ben (Chaunte) Tinsley; 8 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Walter Bedford Blakely, Sr. and niece, Teresa (Bruce) Blakely-Sullivan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Joshua Wiley; step-brother, Junior Wiley; sister, Sondra Blakely and nephew, Walter Bedford Blakely, Jr.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton, Indiana.
