Alan L. Ellis, 84, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 9:17 a.m. Sunday, February 15, 2026 in Serenity Springs Senior Living in Jasonville, IN.

He was born May 9, 1941 in Brazil, IN to Howard Wilkins Ellis and Rachael Margaret (Peavey) Ellis.

Alan married Iris Diane Ellis on August 12, 1962, she passed away on December 4, 2025.

Survivors include his daughter, Debra D. Lubelski (David) of West Lafayette, IN; grandchildren, Aaron D. Lubelski (Sarah Kelecy), Adam M. Lubelski; nephews, David L. Ellis (Kate), Scott H. Ellis (Rebecca); sister in-law, Teresa Ellis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; brother, Thomas D. Ellis; sister in-law, Loreta Ellis.

Alan graduated from Coalmont High School. He and Diane owned and operated various enterprises from their home. Alan loved sunflowers and his many beloved pets.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. There are no services planned at this time.

Interment will be at Peavey Cemetery in Jasonville, IN.
