Greene County Jail Log

New arrests on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department:

  • April 25 – Tyler Dale Owen, 28, Jasonville, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a violation of conditional discharge in a case involving misdemeanor possession of marijuana. He was being held without bond. Jasonville Police Sgt. Brian Pilant was the arresting officer.
  • April 25 – Dustin Fredrick Abel, 30, Bloomington, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a preliminary charge of felony identity deception and another warrant issued on a petition to revoke bond in a case involving felony auto theft. His bond was set at $4,000 surety with ten percent allowed in the first case and $5,000 surety with ten percent allowed in the second. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Harvey Holt was the arresting officer.
  • April 26 – Donald Scott Forker, Jr., 35, Linton, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence in a case involving felony dealing in a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a public park. He was being held without bond. Jasonville Police Officer Andrew Duguay was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
