New arrests on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department:

  • April 24 – Antonio D. Maxey, 27, Indianapolis, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on preliminary charges of misdemeanor driving while suspended – second offense and operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license. His bond was set at $5,000 surety with ten percent allowed. He was released later the same day after posting bond. Greene County Jail Officer Darren McDonald was the arresting officer.
  • April 24 – Terry J. Haskett, 52, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested on a preliminary charge of misdemeanor criminal trespassing. His bond was set at $1,000 surety with ten percent allowed. He was released later the same day after posting bond. Linton Police Officer Joe Riley was the arresting officer.
  • April 25 – Justin Dean Norris, 41, Linton, Ind., was arrested on preliminary charges of three counts of felony dealing methamphetamine. He was being held without bond. Norris was arrested by the Greene County Drug Task Force.
  • April 25 – Derek Thomas Scott Burton, 23, Jasonville, Ind., was arrested on a preliminary charge of felony dealing methamphetamine. He was being held without bond. Burton was arrested by the Greene County Drug Task Force.
  • April 25 – Alcide Warren Dagley, 47, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested on a preliminary charge of misdemeanor domestic battery. His bond was set at $1,000 surety with ten percent allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Davis Aerne was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
