/New arrests on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department:
- January 17 – Gary Ray Sergent, 48, Bedford, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on preliminary charges of misdemeanor domestic battery and criminal mischief. He was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff’s Maj. George Dallaire was the arresting officer.
- January 17 – Randall Dale Richardson II, 32, Worthington, Ind., was arrested on a preliminary charge of misdemeanor domestic battery. His bond was set at $1,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He was released on January 18 after posting bond. Worthington Deputy Marshal Russell Walls was the arresting officer.
- January 17 – Logan Michael White, 20, Linton, Ind., was arrested on preliminary charges of felony child molesting, one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct and two misdemeanor counts of battery. His bond was set at $77,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Det. James O’Malley was the arresting officer.
- January 17 – Mark Emmett Dickinson, 37, Newberry, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on preliminary charges of felony domestic battery and misdemeanor domestic battery. His bond was set at $5,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy David Elmore was the arresting officer.
Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
