Lowell Badger

Lowell R. Badger, 85, of 10447 West County Road 350 North, Merom, was a retired farmer who was found deceased on the bedroom floor of his rural Sullivan County home on December 8, 2012. Badger died as the result of a gunshot wound suffered during a burglary of his home.

Lowell’s light to medium gray safe was taken during the burglary along with a TV. The safe measured 23.5” tall, 17” deep, and 17” wide. It was in pristine condition and was manufactured by John D. Brush and Company. The photo posted with this story represents a similar safe but Badger’s safe was in excellent condition. The television was a black 46” Sony Bravia LCD TV.

Since Badger’s death, investigators from the Putnamville Post of the Indiana State Police and the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department have continued to investigate the death and they are still seeking answers. They believe there is someone who has credible information that can help bring closure to this unsolved case and they urge that person to step forward.
