Solsberry woman charged with domestic battery
/A Solsberry woman was uncooperative and allegedly tried to kick a deputy after they responded to a domestic incident. She was arrested and has been charged with domestic battery and resisting law enforcement.
Angela Lee Lavender, 31, Solsberry, was arrested by Deputy Zachary Goad of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday night, May 28. Her bond was set at $2,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. She was released the next day after posting $200.
Last Thursday, June 4, she appeared in Greene Superior Court for an initial hearing via telephone conference and was charged with:
Two counts of domestic battery, both Class A misdemeanors, and
Resisting law enforcement – knowingly or intentionally forcibly resists, a Class A misdemeanor.
Deputy Goad was dispatched around 7:30 p.m. on May 28 to a residence in the Solsberry area where Lavender had allegedly punched a family member. GCSD Deputy Camron Frye also responded.
Deputy Goad said after they arrived and he was speaking to family members, Lavender interrupted repeatedly and refused to comply with instructions.
Lavender is accused of hitting one family member and punching another in the eye during more than one “scuffle.”
Deputy Goad reported that Lavender continued to be uncooperative while they were on the scene and was shouting then refused to walk when taken into custody. She had to be carried and while being carried she allegedly attempted to kick at Deputy Frye.
Lavender was booked in to the Greene County Jail around 9:30 p.m.
Lavender has been served with two protective orders.
