No tornado debris pickup planned in Greene County

Due to limited staffing and financial constraints, Greene County will not provide debris pickup following last week’s tornado.

According to a press release from Greene County Emergency Management Agency Director Roger Axe, residents are advised to take debris to the Greene County Recycling Center, located at 4316 W. Base Road in Switz City. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Accepted materials include trees, tree limbs, metal and plant matter. Mixed loads must be sorted by the property owner. Tires will not be accepted.
