Linton woman accused of driving with .243 BAC
/A Linton woman accused of driving in Linton with a blood alcohol concentration of .243 was arrested over the weekend.
Kristin Marie Stockrahm, 40, Linton, was arrested by Officer Nick Yingling of the Linton Police Department very early last Sunday, August 9. Stockrahm was booked into the Greene County Jail at 2:45 a.m.
Stockrahm was the driver of a black 2015 Lincoln MKC in the area of East Vincennes Street and 1st Street NE approaching a stop sign when Officer Yingling and LPD Officer Kent Medlock were approaching the same stop from a different direction.
Officer Yingling reported the black Lincoln failed to stop and traveled on through the intersection. A traffic stop was initiated at South Main and Vincennes Street.
According to Officer Yingling, he detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage and Stockrahm was slurring her speech during the stop. When asked to exit the vehicle, Stockrahm allegedly used the vehicle to hold her balance then was unable to complete field sobriety tests because she was falling down.
Stockrahm was transported to the police department where she again failed sobriety testing but agreed to take a chemical test.
Officer Yingling reported the results of a certified chemical test showed Stockrahm had a BAC of .234. The legal limit is .08
Stockrahm was transported to Greene County General Hospital for a medical clearance before being transported to jail.
Her bond was set at $4,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. She posted $400 and was released later the same day.
She is scheduled to appear in court for an initial hearing on August 20. She is facing preliminary charges of:
Operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, a Class A misdemeanor,
Operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor, and
Operating a vehicle with an alcohol concentration equivalent to .15 or more, a Class A misdemeanor.
