Linton pair arrested after search warrant uncovers marijuana, cash, and firearm
/Two people were arrested Wednesday after Linton Police said a search warrant at a northwest Linton residence uncovered multiple pounds of marijuana, cash, and a firearm.
According to a probable cause affidavit, officers received a tip that Devin B. Tatlock, 27, was staying at a home at a J NW Street with his girlfriend, Emily Sullivan. Tatlock was already wanted on an active warrant out of Vigo County and was under a no-contact order prohibiting contact with Sullivan.
When officers went to the residence around 6 p.m. Aug. 20, they found vehicles registered to both Tatlock and Sullivan in the driveway. Tatlock was taken into custody on the outstanding warrant. Officers said they also detected the odor of marijuana coming from the home, which led to a search warrant.
During the search, officers reported finding 17 vacuum-sealed bags of marijuana, each weighing about 500 grams, scattered throughout the residence. The combined weight of marijuana surpassed 18 pounds. They also located a scale, plastic baggies, and a .22-caliber rifle. A small bag of marijuana was also found in Sullivan’s vehicle, court documents state.
Police said Sullivan admitted during questioning that she had sold marijuana to a cousin on two occasions and that Tatlock had packages delivered to the home in her name. She also acknowledged that some of the marijuana in the residence was brought in by Tatlock.
In addition to the marijuana and firearm, police said they seized multiple electronic devices, syringes, and $1,380 in cash from Tatlock’s wallet.
Tatlock and Sullivan were both transported to the Greene County Jail.
Tatlock faces charges of dealing in marijuana over 10 pounds and invasion of privacy, while Sullivan faces charges of dealing in marijuana over 10 pounds and possession of marijuana.
Tatlock and Sullivan are scheduled to appear in Greene Superior Court Aug. 25 for an initial hearing.
