Christina Lynn Gallagher, 46, Jasonville was arrested by Det. Shawn Cullison of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department this past Monday afternoon, March 25, one day after a couple in the Linton area reported the burglary.

Det. Cullison reported this past Sunday, March 24, GCSD Deputy Cameron Frye took a report from the couple who told him while they were gone that day, someone had entered their home on County Road 400 North and taken several things.

The couple made a quick list that included an air compressor valued at $275, several chain saws valued at $400, an HP laptop computer valued at $1,100, two Apple iPhones valued at $300, several speakers and sound system items valued at $425, a 22-caliber rifle valued at $200, a 9 mm handgun valued at $400, a 43-inch TV valued at $150 and two purses.

Deputy Frye also talked to another man who said he had stopped by the couple’s home to get something – he had permission, but when he got there, a blue Honda car was in the driveway and when he went inside, a woman was in the bedroom. He said he didn’t know the woman, later identified as Gallagher, and he told her to leave. He also provided a license plate number to the deputy.

When Deputy Frye and later Det. Cullison reviewed video from the couple’s exterior surveillance system, according to Det. Cullison, it showed a woman making several trips from the home to the car to place items in the trunk and back seat. The couple said the woman could be Gallagher, who was an acquaintance.

On Monday, March 25, the car was located at the Fry Apartments in Jasonville with a flat screen TV, that matched the one stolen, still in the back seat.

Det. Cullison, accompanied by Chief Jim Gadberry of the Jasonville Police Department, then met with Gallagher in her apartment. Gallagher allegedly said she went to the couple’s home because they owed her money but she denied knowing anything about the items that were missing.

After Cullison told her about the video from the surveillance system, she said she could get all the items back.

According to a probable cause document prepared by Det. Cullison, Gallagher said nobody was home when she arrived at the residence and the door was unlocked.

Cullison reported some of the items were recovered from Gallagher’s apartment, others had been taken to her brother’s house - Gallagher said he didn’t know they were stolen, but Gallagher denied taking any firearms.

Gallagher was then taken into custody and booked in to the Greene County Jail. Her bond was set at $19,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. She did not post bond.

Yesterday, on Wednesday, Gallagher appeared in court for her initial hearing and was charged with burglary of a dwelling, a Level 4 felony, and theft where the value of the property is between $750 and $50,000, a Level 6 felony.

As of late Thursday, Gallagher had not yet posted bond and remained in the Greene County Jail.
