Friday night traffic stop sends Linton man to jail
/A Linton man, arrested in June and charged with dealing meth, was arrested again last Friday night during a traffic stop. Now he’s facing another felony charge, for meth possession.
Mark Aaron Davison, 56, Linton, was arrested by Officer Adam King of the Linton Police Department late Friday, November 29.
Davison was the driver of a tan 2002 Chevrolet Blazer that was stopped by Officer King at the intersection of 2nd Street SW and C Street SW in Linton a little after 10:30 last Friday night. The license plate didn’t match the vehicle. It was for a white 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier.
When Officer King talked to Davison, Davison allegedly said his driver’s license was suspended and he knew about the license plate.
When LPD Officer Joe Riley and K9 Kona arrived to assist on the scene, K9 Kona was deployed and alerted at the driver’s side door. Officer King reported officers then found a container in the center console contained residue of a white crystal-like substance that field-tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine.
Davison was transported to the Greene County Jail without incident. He was booked in at 11:45 p.m. and was being held without bond pending his appearance in court.
He’s facing a charge of possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony.
Davison was also arrested in June following an investigation by the Greene County Drug Task Force. He was charged with two counts of dealing meth, one a Level 4 felony, the other a Level 5. He was released on bond and that case is still pending.
