His name has not been released but he is a 17-year veteran. His injury was described as non-life threatening. He was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital for medical treatment. According to Sgt. Matt Ames of the Indiana State Police, they have a suspect and they believe they know the area where he is located. All resources are being used to apprehend the suspect.
