A Bloomfield man already had a criminal case pending against him for driving while suspended when he appeared in court last week and was charged with another offense of driving while suspended.

Jeremy Paige Kohn, 35, Bloomfield, was arrested by Deputy Marshal Brittany Ingram of the Bloomfield Police Department on Friday night, February 26. Kohn was previously arrested by BPD Lt. Marvin Holt last summer, in mid-July. In both cases, he’s accused of driving while suspended.

The latest arrest came after Officer Ingram stopped a white Ford F-150 truck that did not have a license plate light. The truck was pulled over at SR 231 and Mill Street in Bloomfield.

Kohn was the driver who said he didn’t have a driver’s license. He handed a state identification card to the officer and a records check revealed his license was suspended indefinitely.

Kohn was convicted in Greene County of driving while suspended in December of 2012. He was later charged with driving while suspended in Owen County but entered into and completed a pre-trial diversion program.

After the July arrest, Kohn posted $100 and was released from jail, then was charged in Greene Superior Court with driving while suspended – a knowing violation with a prior conviction within 10 years, a Class A misdemeanor. That case is still pending.

After the latest arrest, Kohn again posted $100 and was released from jail, then last week was charged in Greene Superior Court in a new case of driving while suspended – a knowing violation with a prior conviction within 10 years, a Class A misdemeanor.
