Loren Ray Hash
/Loren Ray Hash, 80, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at the Golden LivingCenter in Petersburg, Indiana. Born December 7, 1940 in Greene County, Indiana, Loren was the son of Paul Byers and Naomi Faye (Hardsty) Hash.
Loren moved to Petersburg, Indiana in 1995. He was a resident of the Pike County Area Rehabilitation Center (PCARC) residential home program. He lived and worked with PCARC until 2013, when he retired and moved to the Golden LivingCenter.
Loren had many adventures with his PCARC family. He was able to travel and share in new experiences. At Golden LivingCenter he became a “regular” at the many resident activities, especially Bingo! One of his favorite past times was to sit outside with his fellow residents, talking and watching the cars go by.
He was loved and cared for by many wonderful people at both PCARC and Golden LivingCenter. The family is extremely grateful for all of those who afforded Loren their love and support over the years. He was truly blessed.
Loren was proceeded in death by his parents, his brothers Garrell and Ivan “Tucker” Hash, and his sister Pauline Hampton.
He is survived by one sister, Claudine Rose of Linton; nephews Joe (Linda) Hash of Linton and Russell Hash of Owensburg; nieces Susan (Wes) Schroyer of Bloomfield, Marsha Mundy of Springville, and Lisa (Karen) Rose of Hampton, Virginia.
Services will be Wednesday, June 16th. Visitation will be from 10 am till 1 pm at Jenkins Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at the Walnut Grove Cemetery at 130pm. The family requests donations be given to the Walnut Grove Cemetery in lieu of flowers.
