Warren Dyer

Warren graduated from Freedom High School and served in the Army National Guard.  He worked 30 years at Wetterau Food as a warehouseman and truck driver.  His passions included farming, hunting, fishing, cutting wood and bush hogging on his farm.  His favorite television program was The Weather Channel.  He was most commonly seen driving his Ford Ranger to "The Farm" on the Owen/Greene County line that he and Doris purchased over 60 years ago.  One of his top goals in life was to see his great-grandchildren fish in the creek and pond on his farm.  Warren was a member of St. Paul Methodist Church in Bloomington.  As he grew older, one of his favorite activities was to attend Sunday morning services and seeing his friends in church.  The last few months he had been asking to go home.  God bless him, he got to go home.

Warren is survived by his wife of 69 years, Doris (Galimore) Dyer, sons, Steve and wife Pamela Dyer of Bloomington, Doug and wife Rhonda Dyer of Freedom, Paul and wife Laura Dyer of Bloomington, brother, John and wife Lesbia Dyer, grandchildren, Chad and wife Sara Dyer, Letha and husband Britton Sobkoviak, Jocelyn and husband Adam Rollins, Jill and husband Stephen Hasselbring, Megan Dyer, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Lawrence Dyer, Wyman Dyer and Wendell Dyer.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, July 17, 2020 at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.  Pastor Larry Dyer will officiate.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM until the time of service at the cemetery.
