Stevie Ray Walton, ET3 US Navy, 22, of San Diego, California, formerly of Linton, Indiana, passed away on April 11, 2021 in San Diego from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. He was born on December 23, 1998 in Linton to James Steven Walton and Cathy M. Chesterfield. Stevie married Trevonna Faith Rave on September 19, 2020.

Stevie was an active US Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class, Electronics Technician. His dream came true on August 8, 2018 when he joined the US Navy. After boot camp, he attended A School and was assigned to the USS Abraham Lincoln to the present. He was awarded the Navy and Marine Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terror Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal and Marksman Sharpshooter. ET3 Walton truly enjoyed being a sailor. He enjoyed playing cards, doing magic tricks, telling jokes, his PlayStation and collecting Michael Jordan shoes.

Family left to cherish the memory of Stevie include: his wife, Trevonna Rave; sisters, Stephanie Ann (Bryce) Benefiel of Linton, Shiwana Marie Walton; step-brothers, Nick, Tyler and half-brother, Logun and several other family members.

Stevie was preceded in death by: his father, James Walton; brother, Kevin Walton; maternal grandmother, Karen Sue Green; maternal great-grandmother, Phoebe Sisk and paternal great-grandmother, Wilma Walton.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with the Navy Chaplain officiating. Stevie will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton following military honors presented by the US Navy Honor Guard.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 29 and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home.
