Josephine "Josie" Fainot, age 91, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 1:58 pm on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at Glenburn Home. She was born in Jasonville on October 25, 1929, the daughter of William V. Phillips & Anna Mae (Evans) Phillips.

She was a Homemaker. She was a member of Linton First Christian Church. She loved helping others, taking care of her home, and working outside.

She is survived by son, James "Bill" Fainot of Lyons, daughter-in-law, Sue Fainot of Lyons, granddaughter, Stephanie Ann Sparks of Lyons, great-grandson, Lane (Taylor Urban) Sparks, and a sister, Wanda Coker of CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bobby Lane Fainot, two sisters, Eva S. Tryon and Joann Weaver, brothers, Stanley F. Phillips, Richard "Dick" Phillips, Joseph N. Phillips, and Marion J. Phillips, Three Infant Brothers, and Two Infant Sisters.

Private family graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Linton on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.

Per Josephine's request, there will be no public visitation.
