Steven Rex Wilson 65, of Bloomfield, passed away Monday, April 23, 2018, at Greene County General Hospital. Born November 15, 1952, in Linton, he was the son of Rex and Rosalie (Nethery) Wilson.

Steven was retired from the US Department of Agriculture as a district director. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Greene County Cattlemen, Indiana Beef, Greene County Farm Bureau Board, Greene County Soil and Water Conservation Board, and graduated from Purdue University in 1974.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Paula (Howell) Wilson whom he married September 18, 1976; Children, Shanna Lynn Cunningham (Joe) , Christopher Rex Wilson (Erin) and Amanda Kay Helms (Troy) all of Bloomfield and Aaron Steven Wilson (Kalynn) of Linton; his father, Rex Wilson of Bloomfield; siblings, Regina Wilson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Bryan Wilson (Diane) of Bloomfield and Bruce Wilson (Vicki) of Bloomfield; four grandchildren, Avalyn Helms, Noah Helms, Keaton Wilson and Kylene Wilson; and his mother-in-law, Mayme Howell of Bloomfield.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Clarence Howell and his mother.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Interment will follow in Calvertville Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the White River Valley Cattlemen Association.
