Sherrell Glenn Shonk, age 78, of Linton, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Linton, IN on October 17, 1944, the son of Glenn & Juanita (Perigo) Shonk.

He was a 1962 graduate of Linton Stockton High School. He worked as a bookkeeper for several years for several businesses around Linton before moving to Ft. Wayne where he worked as a bookkeeper at Three Rivers Title Company for 10 years. He enjoyed woodworking, was an avid gun collector and was a lifetime legacy member of the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his daughter, Sheri Dee (Donald Kistler) Fullerton of Linton; granddaughter, Ashley Shirey; great grandchildren, ElijaLee Moening and AutumnRose Moening; brothers, Randy (Brenda) Shonk of Linton and Danny (Debbie) Shonk of Boggstown; sister, Sue (Chuck) Davidson of Linton; brother-in-law, John (Janie) Fish of Purcellville, VA; step mother, Betty Shonk as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Glenda F. Shonk.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 with Pastor Sam Bush officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
