Roger William Rose
/Roger William Rose, 65, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 3:42 P.M. Monday, February 21, 2022 in Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. He was born July 10, 1956 in Linton, IN to William Donald Rose and Dorothy Lorene (Elgan) Rose.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Teresa Rose of Jasonville, IN, they married on December 23, 1975; children, Rodney Rose (Sharon) of Jasonville, IN, Rebecca Thomas (Adam) of Brazil, IN, Kacey Allen (Edward) of Brazil, IN; grandchildren, Samantha Rose, Eden Thomas, Ely Thomas, Ean Grant Thomas, Easton Thomas, Emmerson Thomas, Katherine Allen, Elizabeth Allen, Matthew Allen; siblings,Mike Rose (Lynn) of Linton, IN, Donetta Richardson (Robert) of West Terre Haute, IN; several nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Jeana Rose.
Roger graduated from Linton Stockton High School Class of 1974.Roger was a true outdoorsman a mans man, he lived for hunting deer and turkey and enjoyed fishing too. He always had a vegetable garden and enjoyed mowing the yard and recycling. Roger loved watching his grandkids play sports from baseball to soccer, he was a big GreenBayPackers Fan. Roger was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was active there, he loved his Lord. He was a US Army Veteran and was proud of his service to his country. He and Rodney enjoyed going spot shoots. He also loved to travel with his family, treasuring the time spent together and enjoyed playing cards and board games with family and friends. Roger worked on the railroad and in construction after his service in the army. He retired from the Indiana Laborers Local #204 in 2012.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 10 A.M. to Noon Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church 12970 W. 500 N., Linton, IN. Services immediately follow at Noon with Pastor Doug Cassel officiating.
Interment will be at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN with Military Graveside Rites.
