Richard Lee Byrer, 59, of Lyons, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at his residence. Born December 27, 1966 in Washington, Indiana he was the son of Ray William and Lorene (Brock) Byrer.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Maggie (Stone) Byrer whom he married June 7, 1987; his children, Amanda and Jessica Byrer; siblings, Janet Brock, Jerry Byrer, Edith Knight, James Quick and Cheryl Holcomb.

Preceded in death by siblings, Billy Byrer, Carl Sheetz, David Sheetz, Ronnie Quick, Joyce Moffatt, Rosaline Radar, Donnie Byrer, Janet Drew, Maxine Smith and his parents.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026 at Fairview cemetery in Elnora. Jenkins Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
