Perry Elmer Frederick, age 80, of Linton, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born in Linton, IN on July 8, 1941, the son of William & Oma Lola (Lehman) Frederick.

He was a 1961 graduate of Linton Stockton High School and was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran who was proud to serve his country. He worked as a coal miner for Peabody Coal Mine and retired after 33 1/2 years. He enjoyed gardening, mowing the yard and he was also an avid gun collector.

Perry is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Cynthia (Burris) Frederick of Linton; son, Paul Frederick of Linton; daughters, Ann Baker of Vincennes and Jeanine (Tim) Hoskins of Canton, GA; granddaughters, Cara (Shadow) Kendall, Chelsea (Zach) Yell, Emiline (Daniel) Singer and Sarah Frederick as well as 4 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Billy Frederick, Bob Frederick and Donnie Frederick as well as a nephew, Michael Frederick.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Saturday, June 11, 2022 with Pastor Dave Tyra officiating.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
