George Corbin
/George Corbin, age 78, of Lyons, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born in Linton on July 16, 1943, the son of Robert and Ailsa (Goldie) Corbin.
George was a 1961 graduate of Midland High School and served in the United States Marine Corp from 1961 to 1966. He worked as a tool cut and grinder at Crane Navel Base, retiring in 1993.
He enjoyed his hot rods, whether that was driving them to all the different cruise in’s with Janet or talking about them, visiting with his friends at Southside Express, all his pet rescues over the years, and spending time with his family.
He was a member of the Recycled Rodz Car Club and the American Legion Post #22 of Linton.
He is survived by his children, Randy (Patti) Cole, Marty (Tammy) Corbin, Kirstia (Robert) Cropper and Denny (Amber) Corbin; his 11 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren, his brother, John Corbin; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Dan Corbin; his parents Robert (Gus) and Ailsa Corbin; wife, Pamela (Shepherd) Corbin; brother Hugh Corbin; and sister, Mima Haseman.
Graveside service will be held at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 16, 2022, with military graveside service by the American Legion Post #22 of Linton.
Arrangements are in care of Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton.
