Odell O. Wright III

Odell O. Wright III, 72, of Bloomfield passed away Sunday January 18, 2026 at his residence.

Odell was born on July 26, 1953 to Ida Emma (Crays) Wright and Richard Floyd “Dick” Wright.

Odell’s first job was working at Williams Shopping Center with his Granny Crays and later followed in his family footsteps of construction. Odell was a very talented wood worker / crafter, just show him a picture or design and a finished product would soon appear; he was a civil war buff and enjoyed meandering through the western states. The accomplishments of his children and grandchildren made him a proud father and papaw and always put a smile on his face. Odell enjoyed quotes, one of which was “Persevere young man”.

Odell will be greatly missed by his wife, Judy; three daughters, Christa (Todd) Curtis, Brooke (Jared) Pyne, Lindsay (Shane) Skinner, seven grandchildren, Cameron and Emma Curtis, Jacob (Lexy) Pyne, Joshua Pyne, Adalyn Pyne, Shaylee (Nic) Blondeel, Lane Skinner; four great-grandchildren, Alaina, Olivia and Zayleigh Pyne and Roone Blondeel, one sister, Connie Shonk and two nieces

Odell was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Richard and Caryl Tenneyson Wright.

Memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 7 P.M. on Wednesday January 21, 2026 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

A private family service will be held.

The family ask any memorial donations in Odell’s name be given to Grandview Cemetery or Scotland Cemetery.
