Kathy Lynn Franklin, age 50, of Linton, passed away at 11:52 pm on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Indianapolis, IN on May 2, 1971, the daughter of Charles & Lonna (Sperling) Heacock.

She worked at Baesler’s Grocery as a cake decorator for several years. She was a member of the ladies auxillary in both the Linton VFW and Linton American Legion . She enjoyed baking, cooking and making crafts for her grandchildren.

Kathy is survived by her daughters, Katie Vaughn and Chelsea McGowan, both of Linton; son, Josh McGowan of Ellettsville; mother, Lonna Heacock of Linton; grandchildren, Aleah Franklin, Amelia Powell, Briar Powell, Arabella Green and Draven Buskirk; brothers, Charlie Heacock, Chris Heacock and Caven Heacock..

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Heacock.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Friday, March 4, 2022.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made towards funeral expenses through the funeral home.
