John Lasiter
/John Lasiter, 85, of Linton, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at his residence surrounded by family. He was born on July 10, 1936, in Greenwood, Indiana to Henry Ellis and Thelma (Taylor) Lasiter.
John married Carol L. (Bumberger) Lasiter on June 12, 1979.
John was on the Whiteland Police Department, served as Lt. for Johnson County Sheriff Department with 18 years of service. Upon his retirement he started Lasiter Reality and Auction Service, then continued on to work with Greene County Community Corrections and Pleasant Grove Farms. He was a 50-year member of Whiteland Masonic Lodge 746 F & AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis. John graduated from the 150th FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
Those left to cherish the memories of John include: his wife, Carol, daughters, Joyce (Jerry) Such of Evansville, Judy (Danny) Wallace of Vista, California, son, Jess Ross (Rachella Clinedinst) of Linton; daughter, Julie Stephens of Pleasantville; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jimmy (Pam) Lasiter of Kentucky, and Jerry Lasiter of Kentucky.
John was preceded in death by, his parents and brother Joseph Lasiter.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Farms.
