Jamie Ann Ray
/Jamie Ann Ray, age 67, of Linton, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022, at Glenburn Home in Linton. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 21, 1954, the daughter of Alfred Wayne & Annabelle (Esra) Camden.
She was a 1973 graduate of Dugger Union High School. She was a member of Dugger First Christian Church and was very active in anything she could help with. She worked as a caregiver for most of her life and she really enjoyed caring for the elderly and had a heart of gold. She would always do anything for anyone and was adored by many. She loved her family very much but she especially loved spending time with her grandbabies.
Jamie is survived by her loving husband of almost 33 years, Walter Ray of Linton; sons, Ethan (Paige) Ray of Sullivan, Matt (Tiffany) Ray of Florida and Jonathan (Kasey) Ray of Bloomington; grandchildren, Tripp Ray, Amelia Ray, Jordan Ray, Kloee Ray, Gage Tomsey and Alanna Tomsey; Brother, John (Deanna) Camden of Dugger; sister, Georgina “Sis” Armstrong of Dugger; sisters-in-law, Wilma Camden of Linton, Judy (Rock) Cox of Midland, Caroline (Bob) Brown of Jasonville, Shirley Haskins of Linton and Linda Cooksey of Wanamaker; brothers-in-law, Charles “Chuck” Ray of Paragon and William “Bill” (Linda) Ray of Knox and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Thomas Camden and Robert (Karm) Camden; brothers-in-law, Bill Armstrong, Danny Haskins and Jack Cooksey; sisters-in-law, Sharon (Don) Jeffers and Sue Ray; nephew, Willie Armstrong and niece, Trudi Anderson.
Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 11, 2022 with Pastor Jerry Carmichael officiating.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 pm until the time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation through the funeral home.
