James Siebenthal
/James L. Siebenthal, 78, of Linton, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Linton. He was born on January 5, 1941 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Walter James and Blanche Pauline (Eavern) Siebenthal.
Jim was a truck driver for IRC & D and a meat cutter for Marsh Supermarkets. He loved camping, hunting, fishing and playing poker. Jim never met a stranger, he liked everyone and loved laughter. Overall, Jim loved life and felt like he had a great one. Family was most important to him and he loved them with all his heart.
Family left to cherish the memory of Jim includes: one son, James D. (Melody) Siebenthal of Indianapolis; three daughters, Linda K. Neel of Indianapolis, Debra (Timothy) Liggett of Beech Grove and Paula (Scott) Wells of Bloomfield; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and one sister, Barbara Benedict of Indianapolis.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Don and Bill Siebenthal.
A funeral service honoring Jim’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 16, 2019 at Meng Family Funeral Homes, Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Rev. Rose Sparks officiating. Jim will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
