Glen Dexter Cundiff
/Glen Dexter Cundiff, age 81, of Worthington, passed away peacefully at 10:10 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018, at his residence. He was born in Trinity Springs, Indiana, on December 21, 1936, the son of Ivan Curtis Cundiff and Sarah Irene (Akles) Cundiff.
He retired in 2006 after 43 years of service at NSWC Crane, where he worked as an engineering technician.
Glenn was a member of the Worthington Christian Church, a member and past president of the Worthington Lions Club, a 50 year member of the F & AM Masonic Lodge, an IU fan, and enjoyed gardening. He was a member for many years of the Shoals, Worthington, and White River Valley School Boards.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Debra (Smith) Cundiff of Worthington, his children, Vanessa (Robert) Everett of Avon, Glenn Anthony Cundiff of Shoals, Traci (David) Cornelius of Camby, Kyla (Brandon) Slone of Indianapolis, and Jessie (Josh) Bosell of Worthington, a sister, Karen (Bruce Hardwick) Wilson of Shoals, brother, Jeffrey (Arlene) Cundiff of Shoals, ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Shelba Jean Wade.
Graveside service will be held at Trinity Springs Cemetery in Shoals at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2018.
Visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home of Worthington on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Worthington Lions Club through the funeral home.
